Exchange studies in Dance Performance

Welcome to apply for an exchange semester within Erasmus+ in dance performance!

Courses offered

SKH offers you to follow courses from the curriculum of the Bachelor's Programme in Dance Performance (year 1, semester 2). Find more information about the structure and content of the programme here.

By following the links, you can read the syllabuses for the courses included in the spring semester of 2027:

  • Dance, Practice and Theory 1b, 15 ECTS
  • Performative Practice and Theory 1b, 7.5 ECTS
  • Choreography, Practice and Theory 1b, 7.5 ECTS

Application

The application period is 15 March to 15 April 2025.

  1. Ask your coordinator to nominate you for exchange studies at SKH by sending an email to exchanges@uniarts.se.
  2. You submit your application via the online application system Varbi. Please note that we only accept applications via Varbi and that we will not consider any applications from students sent by e-mail or regular post.

Upload the following documents (in English) for your application:

  • Registration certificate from your home university
  • Transcript of records of your programme courses at your home university completed so far
  • Language certificate showing your level in English
  • Letter of motivation (instruction below)
  • Work sample (instruction below)

Instructions for the Letter of motivation

Answer the following questions (maximum one page):

  • Why do you choose to study dance at SKH and what are your expectations?
  • What dance forms, choreographers or dance cultures are you excited about now, and why?
  • Describe an experience of when and how artistic practice made a difference for you, for others or for society

Instructions for the Work sample

Upload or link to a video, 3 minutes in two parts:

  • Dance a specific dance. This could be to dance a particular style or technique, a dance you are familiar with that comes from your personal archive, a dance that you have learned from somewhere else, for example, the internet or from a library, it could be a historical dance or a contemporary dance (duration: 2 minutes)
  • Explain where the dance comes from and why you chose to dance this dance (duration: 1 minute)
