Within practice
Here’s the festival where you can delve into how and why dance is created! This year’s festival for choreographic practices takes place 5–10 October. Within Practice is run by choreographer Björn Säfsten and is created in close collaboration with MDT, Dansens Hus, Danscentrum and SKH.

Open house: Dance pedagogy
On Tuesday 13 October 2026, we will be opening our doors at Brinellvägen 58 for an Open Day. There will be taster classes in dance technique, composition and improvisation exercises, as well as information about our programmes in dance pedagogy.

New innovation office to boost innovation in the arts
2026-06-26Stockholm University of the Arts together with The Royal College of Music, the Royal Institute of Art and Konstfack are joining forces in a joint initiative to shape the future of innovation and collaboration within artistic education and research.
The dance already within us takes to the stage
2026-06-16Dance teacher Anna Fischler recently completed her studies at SKH with a performance exploring inhabited dance, and how it can be used as an artistic practice for people with neurodiversities.

Through an active dialogue with external partners and close cooperation with universities around the world, we strengthen the quality of our education and research and give students and staff the possibility to develop.

At SKH, everyone should be able to study on equal terms and have the same opportunities to conduct their studies regardless of functional variation. If you as a student have a functional variation that affects your ability to study, you are entitled to targeted study support.
