Exchange studies in Film and Media
Courses offered
SKH offers you to follow the curriculum of the Master's Programme in Film and Media - Animation (year 1, semester 2). Find more information about the structure and content of the programme here.
Apart from specialisation-specific courses, the programme includes a research preparatory course. By following the links, you can read the syllabuses for the courses included in the spring semester of 2027:
- Methods in Artistic Research II, 7,5 ECTS
- Elective Programme Course, 7,5 ECTS (available courses to choose form will be presented after the start of the semester)
- Method Course in Specialisation: Animation, part II, 7,5 ECTS
- Laboratory Course - Individual, part II, 7,5 ECTS

Application
The application period is 15 September to 15 October 2026.
- Ask your Erasmus+ coordinator at your home university to nominate you for exchange studies at SKH by sending an email to exchanges@uniarts.se.
- You submit your application via the online application system Varbi. Please note that we only accept applications via Varbi and that we will not consider any applications from students sent by e-mail or regular post.
The following documents needs to be uploaded with your application (in English):
- Registration certificate from your home university
- Transcript of records of your programme courses at your home university completed so far
- A certificate of Degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts or equivalent higher education qualification
- Language certificate showing your level in English
- Letter of motivation (instruction below)
- Work sample (instruction below)

Describe why you are applying for exchange studies in Animation at SKH and what your expectations are. (max 1 A4 page)
Work sample
- Upload a showreel, a short video portfolio, which you believe depicts your abilities within animation and visual storytelling in the best possible way. Max 5 min. Please use mov, mp4 or avi (maximum 150 MB/file).
- Upload a description of the working process and your role in the submitted work sample. Please provide a document of approximately half an A4 page (around 1,000 characters including spaces) written in English. The document should be submitted as a PDF.
