Symposium: Storytelling for children and young people
The starting point is children’s and young people’s right to high-quality stories. What conditions are necessary for creating artistic works for children and young people, and how can we all contribute?
To mark SKH’s forthcoming one-year master’s programme in children’s film*, we are inviting professionals in the fields of children’s culture, film and media to a day of discussion, sharing experiences and networking.
Together, we want to explore how storytelling for children and young people can be developed and strengthened in the future, and which stories may be meaningful to young audiences today and in the future. Children have a right to art and culture that not only entertains, but also challenges, inspires and opens up new perspectives. What role can education, research and industry collaboration play in creating the conditions for rich, relevant and artistically innovative storytelling for children and young people? Come along, be inspired, share experiences and network!
